Autumns arrival: the year is fading fast

Amazing how its only a matter of days till October is upon us, and with that comes just 3 months left in this year. Wow, I can remember when new year’s eve was here and we were anticipating the start of 2018, and its end is on the very near horizon.  For me everything is going well, the vacations have been taken, and like so many others I’m anxiously awaiting the arrive of cool crisp evenings and golden leaves..

I’ve begun indulging into learning Spanish, I’ve always wanted to learn that language, well at least since High school anyway.  I started it in school but through all faults of my own I didn’t finish school and my studies were never complete. I attempted a Spanish class at the local college but after a couple of semesters they changed the professor on us and all enthusiasm went out the door with the previous professor, and I like a lot of others in the class, lost our initiative to continue.. Fast forward to a couple of months ago and I have been diligently studying every day for 97 days. and have many more days of learning ahead of me. Am I actually learning the language and comprehending it?  why yes I am, and feel very confident that my learning will only improve with time…

Halloween is a mere month away, and our house is already showing signs of the delightfully horrifying season thanks to my partner in crime who loves it as much as I do! While we don’t do our annual Halloween bash any longer, its still fun to see all the decorations throughout the house for the duration of the season.  next up I have to get out my Halloween oriented DVD’s and watch them throughout the month of October. I have more than enough to watch one each day of the month, but I think I will just watch the favorites this year, and I plan on using them as reviews for my daily “countdown to Halloween” blog posts…

Have another trip to my favorite getaway place coming up in two weeks, this one like the two to follow afterwards will all be stay overnight trips. I used to do day trips regularly but it seems they are really starting to take their toll on me, man getting older is a bitch to say the least, but it sure is fun getting there!  I’ve started my thinking process for where I’m going to take my “BIG” vacation next year, with all signs leaning towards Six Flags over Texas since it’s the only park of the three original Six Flags parks I haven’t visited yet.  I say that’s where my trip is going to be, but chances are it will change a few times before the actual planning must happen.  not too much exciting is going into parks next season, so picking a place will be more easier than expected.   Well it’s time to step away from the keyboard and to exercise whatever amount of productiveness I plan on exerting on this last day off which incidentally won’t be a whole lot seeing as that it IS the day off… be sure to tune in tomorrow for another round of thoughts…
